The Committee on Campus Diversity and Inclusive Excellence (“Committee”) serves as an advisory body to the President to assist the University in enacting its commitment to diversity and inclusion. The Chief Officer for Diversity and Inclusion is Stockton’s Chief Diversity Officer and a member of the President’s Cabinet.

The Committee membership is comprised of current faculty, staff, and students. At the discretion of the President, the Committee also may include Stockton alumni.

The President makes appointments to the Committee based on recommendations from the Chief Officer for Diversity and Inclusion, the Cabinet, the Faculty Senate, and the Student Senate.

At the beginning of the fall semester, the Chief Officer for Diversity and Inclusion will work with the Committee to identify subcommittees and their respective assignments. Each Committee member selects one or more subcommittee(s) to participate in during the academic year.

The full Committee meets four times during an academic year, with two meetings each in the fall and spring semesters. Subcommittees meet in between full committee meetings to work on areas of diversity and inclusion identified by the President, the Chief Officer of Diversity and Inclusion, and the Committee.
